Academic Databases

A number of databases of use to the HEP community are online.

• The Durham/RAL HEP Database gives information on particle properties, reaction data, experiments, etc.
• Similar information is available from the Particle Data Group at LBL.
• The SPIRES database at SLAC provides keyword search to HEP preprints: since the beginning of 1994 CERN have provided electronic access to all preprints (either electronic or scanned in) they have received.
• The FreeHEP initiative provides an expanding index to publicly available software packages, of use to the HEP community at large.
